In the State of California the homeowner has the right to choose their own vendor and is not obligated to use the insurance vendor.  In fact we strongly caution against using the insurance vendor since they are working for the insurance.  Even if you chose not to use our company we urge you to chose your own vendor since they will be working for you.

It depends on the year your home was built.  Asbestos was banned in 1976 but has about a ten year shelf life.  We typically have you test if your house was built before 1986. Asbestos can be found in insulation, drywall (joint compound), tile, popcorn ceiling and mastic. 

Lead was outlawed in 1978.  All houses built before 1978 must be tested for lead, particularly tile and paint.

If your test results show more that .01% asbestos containing then the affected materials will need to be removed by a licensed abatement company.  Action Water Damage has partnered with Alliance Environmental who will guide you through the process. 

It depends on several factors.  Do you need asbestos testing?  How much water was there?  How saturated are the building materials?  In short a Mold Remediation can take 3-5 days depending on size with mold clearance.  Water Damage Mitigation can take 5-7 days on average.  Smoke and Fire Damage can take days or weeks depending on scope and size.
